David replaces Jeremy Pursehouse who has stood down after fighting two General Elections in the East Surrey Constituency.

David grew up in Horley and attending Horley First School, Oakwood and Reigate College, before attending University in Portsmouth.

Says David: "I want to work with the people of East Surrey and for the people of East Surrey. It is time to make a change in the politics of the constituency; a change for the better, and I want to be the person who starts that change."

"People are tired of the two other parties scoring points of each other and not paying attention to what people are really worried about: their jobs, their homes; their environment. Lib Dems understand local people because we are local people."

"I know I have a long hard battle on my hands, but you don't go into politics to come second, you go into politics to make a difference, and I will make that difference in East Surrey."

Says Constituency Chairman Jeremy Pursehouse: "David is exactly the right person to take over the Parliamentary Candidate Role and we all look forward to working with him and tapping into his undoubted energy and enthusiasm."
